The staff at the reception were very helpful. They called taxis for us and gave us water refills every morning at the bar. The room was a very nice size and had really comfortable beds. The hotel is 20 minutes from the Spanish steps and close to the Coloseeum. Be aware, the elevator has a feature where the light turns off if you do not open the door correctly - the elevator is not broken, do not panic like me, you just have to push the correct handle to get out. This is different than American elevators which will slide open when you get to the correct floor and close on their own. I would definitely stay here again.

Terrific location - , receptionists were very good. We stayed for four nights in October in room 204. The room overlooked Via Cavour and was one of the only ones with a small balcony. Even though the road was busy , it was quiet in the room due to the very good sound proofing. Only negative, which we knew, was no tea/coffee facility in the room. Rooms were clean. Location - 5 min walk to the colosseum, which was fantastic. Lots of restaurant's and supermarkets within reach. Perfect hotel.

This hotel is in a great location, 2 minutes walk to Collesium and 5 minutes to the metro, and has reasonable prices, we paid 700€ for 5 nights during Christmas. The staff is very helpful and friendly, they do everything they can to make your stay better. The hotel and rooms are very clean. The only thing that keeps me from giving 5 stars is that the beds are too hard. They even added a mattress topper for us, and it still felt like sleep on concrete. So we did not get much sleep and woke up with pain. Otherwise, we stay here every time we are in Rome. If you like a firm mattress, this hotel is perfect.

I’m absolutely dumbfounded how this is a three star hotel. I’ve seen way nicer Motel 6’s. The lobby is very pretty and person at the front desk is very very friendly. But that’s about all of the good things I have to say. The room is super small looks very cheap. They don’t even provide soap for the shower. They have a container in the shower that I guess is soap/shampoo combo. I asked for a washcloth and they don’t have any. The pictures on the website are entirely misleading, at least given the room that I am in. For what I spent, I would’ve expected way better. I don’t think I would stay here again.

I booked three nights at this hotel. I woke up early and toured the Coliseum. When I returned at 12:40 p.m., I found the receptionist asking me for my room number. When I told her that, she prevented me from going up to the room because there was cleaning at this time. I discussed with her the reason for not going up and that it was not the time. Ideal for cleaning the room at this time, and she forced me to sit in the hotel lobby, and I ignored her and went up to my room. She followed me angrily and rode with me in the same elevator, saying in a loud voice that this system is in all parts of Europe. When I arrived at the room, I told the cleaning lady to finish her work of cleaning the room, and she took the worker out of the room, and she did not She completes the cleaning, and when I file a complaint to the hotel’s email because I am forced to wait until the cleaning is finished, she also attached that she raised her voice at me and that she knows all the rules. She responded to the email and said that she is the owner of the hotel and her name is Merla and that she did not understand the issue and apologizes and suggested that I leave the hotel whenever I want, although The hotel withdrew the full amount upon check-in. I also want to add that I forgot my iPhone charger in the room and they did not tell me about that... I am talking about Merla and you may see my comment and be able to respond and I have everything to prove that, knowing that the rest of the employees are very wonderful and always smiling. I did. I am publishing my comment so that you take into account that the hotel owner has rules that do not exist at all, and that she talks a lot and does not respect the guest, and also that if something is lost from you, you will not be able to recover it. The summary of my experience in the hotel is that it is the worst experience in my life, and I did not find such treatment from the disrespectful owner of the hostel.

Let's start with the positives: 1) The location is excellent for tourists. You're within walking distance to the Colosseum, the Pantheon, Trevi Fountain, major shopping areas, and a large selection of great restaurants, among others. 2) The reception was phenomenal. They were very helpful, very polite and were always willing to answer my questions or help with anything we needed. 3) The bed was pretty comfortable and they supplied us with plenty of pillows and an extra comforter. 4) They give you two water bottles in the fridge in your room that they'll refill for you at reception. (Don't expect to take them with you though.) Now the negatives: 1) There were frequent issues with our bathroom-the toilet in particular. Could've just been our room but we regularly had to "hack" the toilet to get it to stop running by hitting multiple flush buttons at once over and over. The shower head had buildup that prevented the water from flowing correctly, and though I was able to fix this issue myself, I'm not sure others would. There was also a bit of leaking that often covered a decent part of the floor with water-nothing a few towels won't fix but an inconvenience nonetheless. 2) The elevator is small. Like two person max small. Just be prepared to wait if somebody needs to use it before you. 3) A couple of nights we had issues where people were talking in the hallways past midnight. The walls are a bit thin so this kept me up for a while. Full disclosure, my partner had very little issue with this but it did bother me to the point of losing hours of sleep. I was even able to hear somebody in another room snoring that kept me up a while. 4) WiFi wasn't great. Sometimes it disappeared completely. I often found myself turning it off to use the mobile network. And, finally, some weird stuff... 1) Maybe it's normal and I'm not aware, but we had to give our only room key back to reception every time we left the hotel. We didn't notice any issue with this, but again, also never experienced this in any other hotel we stayed in in Europe. 2) We had to pay the "city tax" part of our bill in cash, so make sure you've got some euros on hand. They were nice enough to wait until we checked out to pay though, and there's a currency exchange not too far away so this wasn't a big deal, just something to keep in mind.

The location is amazing and close to everything. Easy to get to from the Colosseum and from the cavour station. Eaxh flior is different it feels like the hotel is going through a refit floor by floor as some are very 9ld and others quite new. My room was on the 6th floor. And it is OLD. Everything creeks yet it retains a charm which for a weekend or overnight visit is fine as a base. The bathroom is super small but again for a short visit it is fine. The reception staff are good and it is welcoming. The libby is not really there there ate a few tabkes and a small seating area. I would not stay here again for a business stay, as there is not enough room to work in the room the table is super small and there is no chance of having an iron. So this completely rules it out for business travel. I would stay here again its fine

Decent enough hotel. Great location. Friendly staff. No major complaints but showers are a bit hit and miss, very little sound proofing and WiFi could improve.
